20200903_BSC_Vietnam Daily Review_EN_VN-Index passed 900 points, Taiwan Fund plans to buy 270 billion of Diamond ETF_TA_TNG_Uptrend

Stock market: VNIndex increased strongly since the beginning of trading session, and conquered the resistance area of 900 points, thanks to positive trading status as CBTC Vietnam Equity Fund registered to buy 21 million VFMVN Diamond ETF fund certificates. The investment cash flows continued to increase sharply as 15 out of 19 sectors gained, in which both Goods & Industrial Services, and Banking sectors led the market with the most significant increases. After a chain of net selling session, foreign investors’ trade showed positive signal as they had a net buying session on HSX. The market liquidity still maintained at a stable level and the market breadth was positive, showing that the investor sentiment is fairly optimistic on the market outlook. According to our assessment, VNIndex is likely to accumulate in a few sessions before reaching the next resistance level of around 940 points.

Future contracts: All futures gained in agreement with the general trend of the index. Investors should prioritize buying with target price around 860 points for all contracts.

 

Covered warrants: In the trading session on September 03, 2020, majority of coverred warrants increased following underlying securities. Trading value decreased slightly.

• VN-Index +12.24 points, to close at 903.97 points. HNX-Index +0.64 points, closing at 126.05 points.

• Pulling the index up: VCB (+3.34); VIC (+1.71); BID (+0.90); VHM (+0.85); VNM (+0.74).

• Index pulls down: PLX (-0.29); CTG (-0.21); DHG (-0.09); BHN (-0.06); HVN (-0.04).

• The matched value of VN-Index reached VND 6,122 billion, up + 33.4% from the previous session.

• The fluctuation range was 8.06 points, widening compared to that in the previous session. There were 235 gainers, 60 unchange and 170 losers.

• Foreign investors' net buying value: VND 390.13 billion on HOSE, including CTG (VND 651.8 billion), PLX (VND 62.5 billion) and VRE (VND 26.9 billion). Foreigners were net sellers on the HNX with the value of VND -8.36 billion.
